- CGI
- A Common Gateway Interface (CGI) is a standard protocol allowing external software applications to interact with an information server, commonly a web server. Guestbooks and wikis are common examples of CGI programs.
- CGI Bin
- A directory on the web server where the CGI executables are stored.
- Colocated Hosting
- Colocated hosting is a type of hosting where the client-owned server is managed at the web hosting provider's facility. This offers great protection because the server is located in an area seperated from the client's location.
- Control Panel
- A control panel is a web software application, accessable through a web browser, which allows the client to have limited control over the server's configuration, installed software, and web statistics.
- A cookie is data saved in the user's browser by the web server when viewing a web page. Information is saved in order to allow for the data to be recalled when revisiting the web page at a later time.
- Cron
- Cron is a UNIX command used to schedule jobs and other instruction to be executed at a certain time, and in most cases on a regular basis.
- CSS
- Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) is a language used to describe the visual presentation of a document written in a markup language such as HTML. This includes control over layout, color, font, and size.
