A key component of the Cisco self-defending network, the Cisco ASA 5500 Series will result in increased network speed as well as security performance. Together with Website Source's DDoS Protection Suite, they provide Website Source with one of the most secure networks in the web hosting industry.

According to a March 2006 Symantec report, cybercrime is increasing. In particular, the trend is for attackers to use bot networks for DDoS attempts to extort confidential information. DDoS attacks can target specific websites or whole servers. If they're successful, they impair website performance, cost businesses in lost revenue and in time fixing the damage afterwards, and possibly ruin the business's reputation. With cybercrime as a growing trend, more powerful DDoS tools are expected to be used in the future.
